Site Audit
Score any web page against 47 AEO and GEO signals, see which ones fail, and get AI-written fixes to make the page easier for AI engines to cite.
Updated
AnswerixAI Site Audit checks how ready a single web page is to be understood and cited by AI answer engines. It scores the page against a 47-signal AEO/GEO rubric, shows which signals pass, warn or fail, and writes page-specific recommendations for the issues. It is for anyone optimizing pages for AI search, from a homepage to a single blog post.
Open it from Site Audit in the sidebar. Site Audit is available on every paid plan.
How do I run a site audit?
- Open Site Audit. The URL field is pre-filled with your brand's primary domain.
- Enter the page URL you want to audit, for example
https://example.com/pricing. - Click Run Audit.
The audit runs in the background and opens its result page, which shows progress through three stages: Fetching the page…, Analyzing 47 signals… and Generating AI recommendations…. If it takes longer than expected, the page says so and offers Check again. If an audit fails, run it again.
You can audit any page, not only pages on your own domains. You can also run and read audits from Chat and the MCP server; those audits use the same monthly quota.
What does Site Audit check?
AnswerixAI Site Audit evaluates 47 signals grouped into five weighted categories: Structure (25%), Content (25%), Authority (20%), E-E-A-T (20%) and Trust (10%). Together they check how easily AI engines can parse a page, whether it answers its query, and whether it reads as expert, sourced and trustworthy.
| Category | Weight | Signals | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Structure | 25% | 13 | How easily AI engines can parse the page: JSON-LD presence, validity and type relevance, FAQ schema, H1 and H2 quality, lists, tables, alt text, Open Graph metadata, structural depth, internal linking and page weight. |
| Authority | 20% | 8 | Whether the page reads as expert and sourced: outbound authority links, citation density, statistics, direct quotations, author byline, date markup, freshness and technical terms. |
| Content | 25% | 11 | Whether the page answers its query: a direct answer, bottom line up front, query and sub-query coverage, entity coverage, readability, length, information density, mega-page coverage, in-line definitions and YouTube embeds. |
| Trust | 10% | 7 | Crawl and share signals: AI bot access in robots.txt, llms.txt presence, HTTPS, canonical URL, viewport meta, Twitter card and meta description. |
| E-E-A-T | 20% | 8 | Experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trust: first-person evidence, case studies, author credentials, byline depth, your brand as an entity in Wikidata, press mentions, privacy and terms pages, and contact information. |
Most signals are measured directly from the page. Thirteen judgment-based signals, such as direct answer, sub-query coverage and case-study evidence, are evaluated by an AI model against the page's own topic. The brand-entity signal looks up your brand name in Wikidata.
How is the site audit score calculated?
Each signal gets a status (passed, warning or failed) and a score. Some signals can't be evaluated for a given page and are marked n/a; they don't count for or against the page.
- A category score is the average of the evaluated signals in that category.
- The total score is the weighted average of the category scores, using the weights above. Categories with no evaluated signals are left out and the remaining weights are rescaled.
- Scores are shown out of 100.
The total Site Audit score gets one of three grades: Good for 70–100, Needs work for 40–69 and Poor for 0–39.
| Score | Grade |
|---|---|
| 70–100 | Good |
| 40–69 | Needs work |
| 0–39 | Poor |
The report also says how many signals were evaluated, for example "45/47 signals evaluated".
How do I read an audit report?
An AnswerixAI Site Audit report has four parts: a Headline with the total score and grade, AI Recommendations with page-specific fixes, a Category breakdown, and the full list of Signals with their status and impact.
- Headline: the total score gauge, the grade, and the number of signals passed, with warnings and failed.
- AI Recommendations: page-specific fixes for failing or warning signals, sorted by priority (high, medium, low). Many include ready-to-use draft text, such as a rewritten H1, meta description or FAQ, with a Copy draft button.
- Category breakdown: each category's score out of 100 and how many of its signals were evaluated.
- Signals: every signal, grouped by category, with its status and impact tier (high, medium or standard). Expand a signal to see the Finding for this page, what the signal checks, Why it matters, and either the Recommended fix from the AI recommendations or the standard Fix. Click Issues only to hide passed signals; click All signals to show them again.
From the report you can Export PDF, Re-run audit on the same URL, or Delete audit.
How do I track my score over time?
AnswerixAI Site Audit tracks your score over time with a Score over time chart for your brand's primary domain. The chart plots one point per day from your completed audits of pages on that domain, and you need at least two audits on different days to see a trend line:
- It plots completed audits of pages on the primary domain, one point per day (the latest audit that day).
- Choose 7d, 30d, 90d or All. The default is 30 days.
- The latest score is shown with the change across the selected range.
- The Category breakdown next to the chart shows the latest audit's category scores.
Below the run bar, Recent Audits lists your brand's latest 50 audits with their status and score. Open one to see its report, or delete it.
How many audits can I run?
AnswerixAI site audits have a monthly quota shared by every brand in your organization: 100 audits a month on Starter and Growth, 500 on Business, and custom on Enterprise. Only completed audits count toward the quota.
| Plan | Site audits per month |
|---|---|
| Starter | 100 |
| Growth | 100 |
| Business | 500 |
| Enterprise | Custom |
Each extra brand on Business adds 100 audits a month. The run bar shows how many audits are left this month. Only completed audits count, so a failed audit doesn't use quota. The quota resets when your subscription renews.
Can I add audit results to reports?
Yes. Add the Audit Score section in Reports. It shows the brand's most recent completed audit score in the report period and the change from the audit before it.
What are some tips for using Site Audit?
Get the most from AnswerixAI Site Audit by auditing the pages you want AI engines to cite, fixing high-impact failed signals first, and using AI Readability when the AI bot access or llms.txt signals fail.
- Audit the pages you want AI engines to cite, such as the pages that appear under Brand on the Citations page, and the pages you create from Content.
- Fix high-impact failed signals first, then re-run the audit to confirm the change.
- If the AI bot access or llms.txt signals fail, see AI Readability.
