Reports
Generate AI visibility reports from templates, pick sections and a period, read the AI executive summary and download the report as a PDF.
Updated
The AnswerixAI Reports page generates AI visibility reports: point-in-time snapshots of how your brand showed up in AI answers over a period you choose. Each report pulls together the sections you pick, from visibility KPIs and share of voice to citations and Site Audit scores, adds an AI-written executive summary, and can be downloaded as a PDF. Use reports for monthly reviews, client deliverables and before-and-after comparisons. Open Reports in the sidebar (/dashboard/reports).
Why don't reports change after they're generated?
A report is an immutable snapshot. AnswerixAI captures the numbers when you generate the report and stores them with it, so the report reads the same later, even as new tracking results arrive. The live dashboards keep updating, so a report's numbers can differ from what the dashboard shows for the same dates today. To get fresh numbers, generate a new report.
How do I generate a report?
Reports are generated for the brand currently selected in the sidebar.
- Open Reports and click Generate Report.
- Pick a Template. The template selects a starting set of sections and a default period.
- Tick or untick Sections to choose exactly what goes in the report. Pick at least one.
- Choose a Period: Last 7d, Last 30d, Last 90d or Custom. For Custom, pick a start date and an end date.
- Optionally enter a Title (optional). If you leave it empty, the report is named after the template.
- Click Generate Report.
When the report is ready, AnswerixAI opens it.
Which report templates are there?
AnswerixAI Reports has four templates: Weekly Visibility Summary (last 7 days), Monthly Executive Report (every section, last 30 days), Competitor Benchmark and Citation & Sources Report (both last 30 days). A template only preselects sections and a period, which you can change before you generate.
| Template | Sections selected by default | Default period |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly Visibility Summary | KPIs, Trend, Share of Voice | Last 7d |
| Monthly Executive Report | Every section | Last 30d |
| Competitor Benchmark | KPIs, Competitors, Share of Voice, Topics | Last 30d |
| Citation & Sources Report | Citations, Citation Evidence, KPIs | Last 30d |
Monthly Executive Report is selected when the dialog opens.
Which sections can a report include?
An AnswerixAI report can include 13 sections: KPIs, Trend, Share of Voice, Competitors, Topics, Prompts, Mention Evidence, Fan-out, AI Traffic, Shopping, Audit Score, Citations and Citation Evidence. The Shopping section is only offered when the brand has Shopping mode turned on.
| Section | What it shows in the report |
|---|---|
| KPIs | Visibility, Avg. Score, Mentions, Brand Citations and Positive Sentiment, with changes against the previous period |
| Trend | A Visibility Trend chart across the period |
| Share of Voice | Your overall share of voice and the split by platform |
| Competitors | A Competitor Leaderboard |
| Topics | Topic Performance: each topic's score and its change in points |
| Prompts | Your 5 best performing and 5 weakest prompts |
| Mention Evidence | Up to 10 answers that mentioned you, with the passage around each mention |
| Fan-out | Query Fan-out: the sub-queries AI engines searched and how often |
| AI Traffic | Visits from AI engines and your top landing pages |
| Shopping | Shopping Visibility: shopping share of voice, products surfaced, card rate and top merchant |
| Audit Score | Your latest Site Audit score |
| Citations | Top Citation Sources: the 10 most-cited domains with their source type |
| Citation Evidence | Up to 10 of the most-cited URLs, each with up to 3 of the tracked prompts that surfaced it |
The Shopping section only appears when the brand has Shopping mode turned on (see the Shopping guide). If Shopping mode is off, Shopping data is never added to a report, even from the Monthly Executive Report template.
What's in a generated report?
A generated AnswerixAI report opens with its title, template and date range, plus Download PDF and Delete buttons. Below the header you see an AI-written executive summary and one card for each section you picked:
- Executive summary: a short AI-written summary of the snapshot, written once when the report is generated.
- Section cards: one card for each section you picked. A section with nothing to show for the period can be left out.
If a section can't be gathered while the report is generated, the report still completes. A notice at the top names the sections that are missing.
How are changes against the previous period calculated?
Changes compare the report's period with the previous period of equal length. A 30-day report is compared with the 30 days before it.
- Mentions and Brand Citations show the percentage change. When the previous period had none, the card shows how many are new instead, such as +12 new.
- Avg. Score (the visibility change) and Positive Sentiment show the difference between the two periods. The value is a difference in points, even though it is shown with a % sign.
- Share of Voice shows the change in your overall share of voice.
- Topic Performance rows show each topic's score change in points (
pts).
Brand Citations counts citations of your own website in AI answers. The Visibility card shows your AI Visibility score and how many of your prompts you appeared in. See Visibility scoring for how the score is calculated.
How is the Site Audit score compared?
The Audit Score section shows the latest completed Site Audit for the brand that ran on or before the report's end date. It compares that audit with the audit completed just before it, not with the previous period, and shows the difference in points (pts) next to the previous score.
Where do I find past reports?
Every AnswerixAI report you generate is listed under Generated Reports on the Reports page, newest first, for the brand selected in the sidebar. Each row shows the report's title, template and date range, with three actions: View report, Download PDF and Delete report.
- View report opens the report.
- Download PDF downloads the report as a PDF.
- Delete report removes the report after you confirm.
Reports are listed for the brand selected in the sidebar. Switch brands to see another brand's reports.
How do I download a report as a PDF?
Click Download PDF on a report, or the download icon next to it in Generated Reports. The PDF is A4, contains the report's sections including the executive summary, and is named after the report's title. Because the report is a snapshot, the PDF matches the report whenever you download it.
Which plans include Reports?
Reports are included on every paid plan, with no limit on how many you generate. For live metrics in your own dashboards, see Looker Studio. For a regular emailed digest, see Daily Pulse.
