Brand settings
Edit a brand's details, domains, Shopping mode, tracking, competitors and integrations in AnswerixAI, pause or delete a brand, and add more brands.
Updated
Brand settings is where you manage one tracked brand in AnswerixAI: its basic details, the domains that count as yours, Shopping mode, whether tracking runs, its competitors, its Google integrations and, if needed, its deletion. Open it from Brands, or go to /dashboard/brands/{brand}/settings.
The page has six tabs: General, Domains, Tracking, Competitors, Integrations and Danger Zone.
What is on the General tab?
The General tab holds three cards: the brand's details, Shopping mode and Tracking (pause or resume).
Which brand details can you edit?
On the AnswerixAI General tab you can edit six brand details: Brand Name, Logo URL, Industry, Description, Region and, for US brands, State (optional). Only Brand Name is required; it is the name AnswerixAI looks for in AI answers. Region sets the market the brand is tracked in, and new brands default to US.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Brand Name | Required. The name AnswerixAI looks for in AI answers. Renaming a brand also updates its URL slug. |
| Logo URL | Optional. Must start with https:// or http://. Leave it blank to use the favicon of your primary domain. |
| Industry | Optional. Pick one from the list. |
| Description | Optional short description of the brand. |
| Region | The market the brand is tracked in. New brands default to US. |
| State (optional) | Shown only when Region is US. Pick a state, or Nationwide (no state). A state localizes AI answers to that state from the next tracking run onward. |
To save your edits:
- Open Brands and choose the brand's settings.
- Edit the fields on the General tab.
- Click Save Changes.
Changing Region to anything other than US clears the saved state.
What does Shopping mode do?
Shopping mode is for brands in e-commerce. When you tick This brand is in e-commerce / shopping, AnswerixAI adds ChatGPT Shopping to the platform list of every existing prompt for the brand, enables the Shopping platform on the brand, and shows the Shopping page in the sidebar. The confirmation tells you how many prompts were updated.
Clearing the checkbox turns Shopping mode off for the brand. Shopping analytics is part of the Growth, Business and Enterprise plans. Read the Shopping guide for what the page shows.
How do I pause tracking for a brand?
Pausing a brand stops its daily tracking and blocks all on-demand runs, so no new answers are collected while it is paused. Historical data is kept and stays viewable.
- On the General tab, find the Tracking card.
- Click Pause tracking. The card shows a Paused badge.
- To restart, click Resume tracking. Tracking picks up again on the next run.
What is on the Domains tab?
The Domains tab lists the websites that belong to the brand. AnswerixAI uses them to recognize citations of your own site (the You source type) and for the favicon fallback. One domain is always the primary domain.
- Type a domain (for example
example.com) under Add Domain. Optionally add a country code (for exampleUS). - Click the plus button to add it to the list.
- Use Set as primary to change the primary domain, or the trash icon to remove a domain. A brand must keep at least one domain.
- Click Save Changes.
Plans list a number of domains tracked per brand: 3 on Starter and Growth, 10 on Business, custom on Enterprise.
What is on the Tracking tab?
The Tracking tab holds AI Traffic Tracking: the brand's Tracking Code and an Installation Snippet to add before the closing </head> tag of your website. The script records only visits referred by AI platforms and sends them to AI Traffic Analytics. A tracking code is created automatically with the brand. Setup is covered in AI traffic analytics.
What is on the Competitors tab?
The Competitors tab lists the brands you compare against. When prompts run, AnswerixAI detects how often each competitor is mentioned alongside your brand.
- Under Add Competitor, enter the competitor name and, optionally, its domain (
domain.com). - Click Add.
- To remove a competitor, click the trash icon, then Remove. AnswerixAI stops tracking the competitor and drops it from your comparisons. Past answers keep their data, but it can no longer be linked back to the competitor, and removal can't be undone.
Competitor tracking is included on every paid plan. See Competitors for the comparison views.
What is on the Integrations tab?
The Integrations tab connects the brand to Google Analytics 4 and Search Console. Connections are set up per brand. Starter and Growth include one connection of each type, Business includes five, and Enterprise is custom. Follow Google Search Console and GA4 to connect.
How do I delete a brand?
Deleting a brand permanently removes all of its data, including insights, content and competitors. It can't be undone.
- Open the Danger Zone tab.
- Type the brand name exactly as shown.
- Click Delete Brand Permanently.
If you only want to stop spending on a brand, pause tracking instead.
How do I add more brands?
Add a brand from the Brands page by clicking Add Brand, which opens the new-brand setup at /dashboard/brands/new. The walkthrough is in Add your first brand. Adding brands needs the Admin or Manager role.
How many brands does each plan include?
AnswerixAI Starter and Growth each include 1 brand, Business includes 4 brands plus extra brands up to 10 in total, and Enterprise is custom.
| Plan | Brands included |
|---|---|
| Starter | 1 |
| Growth | 1 |
| Business | 4, plus extra brands up to 10 in total |
| Enterprise | Custom |
When you reach your plan's limit, Add Brand takes you to Settings → Billing instead. On Business you can buy extra brands at $75 per month each; each one adds a brand, 50 prompts, 100 site audits and 10 content briefs. On Starter and Growth, upgrade to Business for more brands. Details are in Billing and plans.
