AI shopping analytics: see which products AI recommends

AI Shopping Analytics is AnswerixAI's tracker for the product cards AI engines show in their answers. A product card is a product listing, with image, price and a store link, placed inside the answer. AnswerixAI captures the cards ChatGPT Shopping, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity return for your tracked prompts, with price, merchant, rating and reviews. It then matches each one to your brand, a competitor or neither, so you can measure your shopping share of voice: the share of all captured cards that are yours.

Shopping dashboard

How visible are your products in AI shopping results?

The Shopping dashboard answers that in one view. Filter by date range, AI platform and region. You then see how often AI answers carry product cards, how many of those cards are yours and your share of every card captured. You also see the merchant AI engines link to most for your products. A 30-day trend shows whether your share is growing.

What you can analyze

What can you analyze in AI shopping results?

Beyond the overview, the Shopping dashboard breaks product cards down by prompt, by your products, by competitor and by individual appearance. A set of cards lists products, prices and stores side by side, much like a comparison shopping site. These views show which questions lead to product recommendations and who wins them.

See which tracked prompts return product cards. Each prompt shows its topic, the platforms that showed cards, the total number of cards and how many were yours, a competitor’s or another brand’s. Open a prompt to see every answer that carried cards and the products, prices and merchant links it returned.

How it works

How does AnswerixAI capture AI shopping results?

It captures them from the same daily prompt runs that measure your AI visibility. We built it on those runs, so there is nothing to install on your store.

Tick Shopping mode in a brand’s settings and AnswerixAI adds ChatGPT Shopping to every existing prompt, and to each prompt you add later, then shows the Shopping dashboard. ChatGPT Shopping runs as its own platform next to regular ChatGPT, so product answers are captured without changing the ChatGPT answers you already track.

When Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot or Perplexity answer a tracked prompt with product cards, AnswerixAI stores every card. It keeps each card’s position, title, brand, price and currency, image, merchant link, rating and review count, with the platform, region and date of the run. Nothing extra to set up beyond the platforms your plan includes.

AnswerixAI checks each card’s product brand, title and merchant domain against your brand name and domains, then against every competitor you track. A match makes the card yours or that competitor’s; anything else counts as other. Those matches drive products surfaced, shopping share of voice and the split on every prompt.

When we built Shopping mode, we kept ChatGPT Shopping answers out of your visibility, citation and sentiment metrics, so product answers never skew them. Add the shopping section to a custom report for share of voice and card rate. Or let your own AI assistant read the cards over MCP or the API with list_shopping_cards and get_product_visibility.

Metrics

What does each AI shopping metric mean?

Every number on the Shopping dashboard is counted from the product cards captured for your tracked prompts. Filters for date range, platform and region apply to all of them.

01
Shopping card rate
The share of tracked AI answers that returned at least one product card, across the platforms and regions in your filter.
02
Trigger rate
The share of your tracked prompts whose answers returned at least one product card in the selected period.
03
Products surfaced
How many cards were matched to your brand. Every appearance counts, so one product shown three times adds three.
04
Shopping share of voice
Cards matched to your brand divided by every card captured for your prompts. Each competitor gets the same figure.
05
Top merchant
The merchant domain that appears most often on your cards: where AI engines send shoppers who want your products.
06
Impressions
How many times one product appeared in a card, shown for each of your products and each competitor product.
